Here is some information on the waxes I use
Natural, eco and supreme soy wax
The soy wax I use is produced from soya beans grown in the USA. The soya is produced from non GM crops grown on well managed plantations and contains no herbicides or pesticides. It is not tested on animals and is biodegradable. It contains only vegatable matter and is not harmfull to the environment or wildlife. Following harvest the oil is extracted from the soybean and undergoes hydrogenation to turn it from a liquid to a solid.
Rapeseed wax
Rapeseed candle wax is a top grade wax produced from hydrogenation and partial hardening on non GM rapeseed oil. Rapeseed is widely grown in the Uk and Europe and is a common sight in spring with fields full of bright yellow flowers. As well as been very productive ( cooking oils, bio fuels and food for humans and animals ) rapeseed also improves the condition of the soil for various crops. The wax is non hazardous to humans and wildlife and has a smaller carbon footprint than soy wax as it is grown, and processed nearer home.

Beeswax
Beeswax is a completely natural wax that has been used for thousands of years and is still highly valued today. It is the only candle wax that produces negative ions when burning, purifying the air and removing toxins given off by carpets, soft furnishings, paints etc and also helps remove viruses and pollens.

Parafin wax
I only use parafin wax in the pillar candles I make as this is a better wax for these kind of candles.
